Bathroom Renovation - Ludlow, Shropshire

These are three design solutions for a bathroom renovation of a barn conversion in Ludlow, Shropshire. The client wanted the most cost effected and design effective way to renovate their existing bathroom. The main issue that occurred was that the fact that boiler was across the corridor and therefore a design was needed to carry the water pipes across the corridor and into the bathroom. Another problem was the positioning of the soil pipe and the costs that would occur if the soil pipe would have to be moved due to the new layout of the bathroom, therefore three designs were produced to give the client a choice of design and costs.

Conservation and Reuse

The Design House is an office for freelance designers who need space to work away from home. It includes a gym and cafe where the occupants can relax away from their office which they may not be able to do if they were freelances working from home. The Design House provides a design environment for creative minds. Reclaimed storage containers are used for the individual offices which can be brought into the building as and when needed. This creates a temporary multi-functional office space which can be returned to its previous state easily.
